Vanessa Rousso's poker resume isn't long, but it does make a big impression. Last year she exploded onto the poker scene with two huge victories, and landed in the top 15 of the women's all time money list. Right off the bat she showed that she wasn't going to be intimidated by her legendary competitors. But despite her early lead, experience won out in the end when Jennifer Harman knocked her out in 6th place.
From then on out it was the Clonie Gowen show. Named after an actual hurricane, Clonie lived up to her namesake by sweeping each of the players off the table one by one. Her first victim was sitting right next to her. Evelyn Ng hoped to beat Clonie, the only woman who beat her at the WPT's first Ladies' Night event, but it wasn't to be. Dee Luong and Cyndy Violette joined Ng at the rail shortly after. Then it was down to Clonie and two-time WSOP champ, Jennifer Harman. But the poker winds where blowing Clonie's way and she sailed off with the $120,000 winner-take-all pot.
