THE LINEUP
Sometimes when you have a mountain of chips in front of you, you can lose sight of the rest of table. In this match, that's what seemed to happen to Brad Booth. After he absorbed Gus Hansen's stack in less than 30 minutes, it seemed like he could do no wrong. He was taking everyone's money at will, eventually knocking out Negreanu with a pair of Queens when Kid Poker's straight draw failed to materialize. But if there was luck in the air, it was swirling around Antonius. He crippled Traniello when he rivered a third 10 to beat Traniello's pocket Kings. Benyamine finished Traniello off, but his Ace-4 all-in bet was crushed a few hands later by Booth's Kings. When heads-up play started, Antonius had about $35K compared to Booth's $85K. Booth casually tossed his money in the center and didn't seem worried that most of it wasn't coming back. In the end though, it only took a few bad calls to stoke Antonius' fire and melt the ice underneath "Yukon" Brad.
