THE LINEUP
The pros had a lot of respect for each other. With the exception of Le, they all played uncharacteristically tight. The Grinder fell into a hole early, but hung on for three days. With only a few big blinds left, he was forced to go all-in and Le's middle pair finally buried him. Lindgren, who couldn't believe Le had cards to play almost every hand, picked the wrong time to prove otherwise. After Le crippled him, Lederer finished him off on the next hand. Lederer, the chip leader for most of the week, compared his tower of chips to New York City's skyline. The mayor of chip town then knocked out Negreanu and Hansen in consecutive hands. Finally, it was down to Lederer and Le. Because of Lederer's commanding chip lead, Le played aggressively. He won hand after hand, including a $36,000 pot, but Lederer didn't seem concerned. Lederer picked his spot and went all in with A-6. Le, having just doubled up under similar circumstances, called but his Q-5 couldn't end the Professor's tenure.
