POKER AFTER DARK IS A FLUSH WITH THE FANS

THE LINEUP

Say what you want about Mike Matusow but he always keeps things interesting. His five grand bet accomplished what it intended to do - tilt Gabe Kaplan - but it wasn't without a price. Kaplan exited the game first, but everyone left tried to muzzle "The Mouth." Matusow joined Kaplan at the rail a short time later, and Kaplan greeted him with a little dance that would've made John Travolta proud. Doyle Brunson, on the other hand, had everyone rooting for him. He was down to his last chip, but stormed back. Unfortunately, the storm lacked thunder and Brunson blew out of there - a case of too little too late. Speaking of which, Dr. Buss owned the short stack most of the game, but he took it in stride. He seemed happy with his performance considering the caliber of players at the table. Heads-up play between Negreanu and Gray was short but exciting, with the last hand going down to the river. Negreanu straight flush overpowered Gray's straight and Negreanu walked away with the $120,000 winner-take-all prize.
