THE LINEUP
This week's match featured a lot of great talk and even more great poker. The action got off to a slow start as the players were feeling each other out. No one was eliminated until the third day of play, when Mike "The Mouth" Matusow talked himself into making a couple of bluffs that didn't work out too well. Down to a short stack, Matusow pushed all-in with A-Q versus the pocket 9s of Mike Sexton, but didn't win the coin flip and was the first player eliminated. WSOP Main Event champ Jamie Gold took over the action on day four. He managed to talk Alan Boston and Antonio Esfandiari into going all-in with lesser hands, and took them both out of the tournament. Down to three-handed play with Sexton and Paul Wasicka, the $120K prize appeared to be Gold's for the taking. But on the final day of play, Sexton caught Wasicka trying to make an all-in move and sent him to the rail. With the weight of his newly acquired chips behind him, Sexton held a big chip lead going into heads-up play. Gold put up a good fight, but it was Sexton who was headed home with the cash.
