THE LINEUP
The match started with amateur Ken Light trying to bluff Jennifer Harman off the best hand to no avail. Daniel Negreanu took control of the table early in the week, using his aggression to win a lot of pots at a tight table. Mike Matusow was the first sent to the rail after talking himself into calling Negreanu's full house with a pair of Aces.
The action stayed tight all week, as the five remaining players made it to the final day of play. Negreanu started spewing chips and doubled up two of the short stacks. Phil Hellmuth then laid a rough beat on Negreanu, taking nearly all of his chips. Negreanu was gone after the next hand when he lost a coin flip to Harman. Scotty Nguyen was next to go, as his all-in attempt with A-J was dominated by Hellmuth's A-K.
Down to three-handed play, Hellmuth managed to knock his final two opponents out with one punch. He turned trip 7s, and the hand held up on the river against Harman's top pair and Light's open-ended straight draw. It was lucky number seven for Phil, as he managed to win his first Poker After Dark.
