"COWBOYS"

POKER AFTER DARK IS A FLUSH WITH THE FANS

THE LINEUP

Most cowboys are known for being loose and wild, but this bunch proved to be a different breed. This was a tight match with very solid play throughout the week. There was no big chip leader early in the week and no one was eliminated until Hoyt Corkins - card dead all week - got caught making a move and was sent to the rail.

Andy Bloch emerged as the favorite after knocking out poker legend Doyle Brunson and taking a large chip lead. Cash game specialist Chau Giang was next to return to the stable when he got unlucky on his all-in attempt versus Chris "Jesus" Ferguson.

Play was three-handed at the start of the final day and the blinds were going up fast when Ferguson got busted by his buddy Bloch, leaving a heads-up battle between the massive chip leader and Gabe Kaplan. Kaplan had done his best all week to bluff at as many pots as possible, but that wouldn't be necessary with the cards he started getting. Soon Bloch's chip lead had turned into a deficit, and Kaplan got lucky on the last hand of the night to knock out Bloch with A-9 versus A-K.
