"WSOP CHAMPIONS"

POKER AFTER DARK IS A FLUSH WITH THE FANS

THE LINEUP

This week's match was nothing short of epic – a WSOP Main Event champ in every seat. Chris Moneymaker's win in 2003 kicked off the Internet poker craze. In 2006, Jamie Gold beat out the biggest tournament field ever to win the biggest prize ever - $12 million dollars. Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan are both in the Poker Hall of Fame and have both won back-to-back Main Events. And with Chris Ferguson and Carlos Mortensen, we had the last Main Event winner of the 20th Century and the first winner of the 21st. Century. These players wasted no time in making things exciting as Mortensen and Ferguson pushed in huge stacks against each other on the very first hand. Though crippled, Mortensen held on until the second night. That's the same night Gold's chips lost their luster and he left the game. Then it was the clash of the titans - Chan vs. Brunson – and "Texas Dolly" was forced to ride into the sunset. Ferguson had a huge chip advantage over Chan, but Chan proved size doesn't matter and sent Ferguson packing. Finally, Chris Moneymaker fell under the wheels of "The Orient Express" just three hands later, leaving Chan standing alone and $120,000 richer. Not a bad night's work.
