THE LINEUP
Daniel Negreanu set the tone early by making a huge lay down with his straight versus Johnny Chan's full house. "Kid Poker" was left without too many chips to work with, but managed to hang on to the third night of play until Chan finished the job and sent the Canuck packing.
All five remaining players made it to the final night of play, with Chan and Patrik Antonius sharing the chip lead for most of the week. With the blinds getting high, short stacks Gus Hansen and John Juanda both pushed all-in on the same hand, only to run into Chan's set of sixes. Roland de Wolfe was the next sent to the rail, as his K-Q couldn't improve versus Chan's A-6.
That left Chan and Antonius to battle it out heads up, with Chan holding the lead. It only took Chan one hand to end the match, as his pocket Aces held up versus the Fin's pocket Kings. The Orient Express once again steamrolled his competition and won his third Poker After Dark.
