THE LINEUP
This week's match got off to a fast start with Erica Schoenberg busting early when her top-pair top-kicker was toppled on the river by Marco Traniello's straight. David Benyamine might have been a little lonely with his fiancée out of the mix, but he managed to control the action for most of the week with his aggressive style of play.
All five remaining players made it to Thursday night, but Benyamine caught a rush of cards and managed to knock both Phil Laak and Jennifer Harman out of the match in short period of time. That turned couples week into to singles week, with Benyamine, Traniello, and Jennifer Tilly left to fight it out for the $120K first-place prize.
Tilly was short-stacked heading into the final night of play and did not survive her all-in attempt versus Traniello. But Marco had a nice hill to climb in heads-up play, as he was almost a three to one dog versus Benyamine. Traniello put up a good fight, but in the end it was the Frenchman getting all the cards and taking home all the money.
