THE LINEUP
This week Matusow must've felt like Charlie Brown looking at Lucy holding the football. Will this be the time he finally kicks it? He made a good run, but in the end it was the same story. Despite the fact everyone was giving him a hard time, Williams, the one-time chip leader, was the first to hit the rail. He got mad at Hellmuth for delaying the game for side bets. Williams should've taken some of that action otherwise he wouldn't have left empty-handed. Next was Smith, who sounded like Hellmuth when he told Matusow he was playing stupid. Stupid or not, Matusow won. Matusow wouldn't celebrate for too long, though. He told himself not to try to steal pots, but he couldn't help himself. And in this game, getting your hand caught in the cookie jar means getting crippled. Hellmuth claimed it was a bad scouting report on Gowen that crippled him. Too bad he was the scout. When it got to heads-up, Laak constantly questioned Gowen on her game. She gave up nothing, and in the end she got all his chips.
