It was a unique week. Six of the best poker analysts squared off in our exclusive Las Vegas card room and put their own games under the microscope. Even though they've become renowned broadcasters and authors, these guys are poker players at heart. The question is, can they still play as well as they talk?
This match differed from others in that it wasn't a wild, freewheeling slug-fest. These pros approached the game more intellectually. As a result, play was tight and the role of chip leader passed around the table. It would take three nights before the first pro fell.
First to go was Chad Brown, whose one-time lead was whittled down until Konik finished him off when his gutshot draw filled in. Konik, however was the next victim. He was sent to the principal's office by Gabe “Mr. Kotter” Kaplan. It was divide-and-conquer time the last night, with Lederer knocking out Sexton, and Gordon knocking out Kaplan. Finally, after a long, tough week, heads-up play lasted only one hand, and Lederer quit work $120,000 richer
