The first player to win both WPT and EPT titles; over $3.5 in lifetime tournament winnings
For Roland de Wolfe, gambling was in his blood. He grew up in a family that loved to make wagers, and he's been playing cards since a very young age. Roland was able to turn that love of gambling into a job as a reporter for Britain's Inside Edge magazine covering poker tournaments. He would soon find himself on the other side of the rail.
When he wasn't busy reporting on tournaments, Roland honed his game by playing in cash games and on the Internet. Eventually he was ready to take the leap and start playing in the tournaments he'd once covered.
After Roland quit his job at the magazine, he never looked back. Roland made his first major score during 2005, winning the WPT Grand Prix de Paris. He followed that up 15 months later by taking down the EPT Irish Masters, becoming the first player to win both WPT and EPT titles. Roland also made over $1 million for a third place finish in the WPT Championship in 2006.
In the few short years that he's been playing poker, Roland has become one of the most feared players on the pro circuit and amassed more than $3.5 million in tournament winnings. Look for this Brit to invade the table and take on Poker After Dark.
