Co-author of Super System II, career winnings of over $850K
After coming to a crossroads in his teaching career, Mark Gregorich decided to swap his classroom for a poker table. He moved to Las Vegas in 1995 and never looked back.
Since then Mark has amassed over $850K in tournament winnings, his highlights include a second-place finish in the $5K Limit Hold ‘em event at the 2003 WSOP and an 11th-place finish in the $50K HORSE event at the 2007 WSOP, where he just missed making the final table in one of the greatest fields of all time.
In addition to his tournament success, Mark has a reputation as a fierce cash-game player and is known as a specialist in Omaha Hi/Lo. Along with Bobby Baldwin, Mark penned the chapter on Omaha Hi/Lo for Super System 2 - considered essential reading for any serious poker player. Mark continues to share his knowledge from his years at the poker table as a magazine columnist and he also served as a commentator on the original Poker Superstars I.
Away from poker, Mark spends time with his wife Mary and his three kids in Las Vegas. Keen viewers may notice Mark's surname sounds familiar and it is - his wife Mary is one of the dealers on Poker After Dark.
