WSOP bracelet winner, almost $2 million in career winnings
With his trademark sunglasses, spiky hair, a wardrobe of colorful shirts and a penchant for the combination of hot sauce and beer, Robert Williamson III might seem over-the-top but be warned - there's some serious poker substance behind the glitz.
Robert has amassed almost $2 million in live tournament earnings with his biggest achievement being his WSOP bracelet win in 2002 in the $5K Pot-Limit Omaha event. Robert has made six final tables in PLO events at the WSOP and has over $1 million in Omaha winnings, earning him the moniker "Mr. Omaha."
His other nickname "The Gentleman of Poker" didn't come by accident either. In 2003 Robert was the recipient of the inaugural Brian Saltus award which recognizes players not just for their poker accomplishments, but also for setting a high standard of behavior on and off the table.
Not content with his achievements at the tables and amongst his peers, Robert has recently taken his love of poker, and the love of his life - third generation jeweler Cate - and started his own poker-themed jewelry line. The pair live and work in Las Vegas.
