Ranks 50th on the all-time money list; won the 2006 Tournament of Champions
Mike Sexton is one of the best-known and most respected poker commentators and promoters in the sport today - a reputation which has earned him the moniker, "The Ambassador." When not lending his expertise to the World Poker Tour, Sexton writes extensively for Card Player Magazine and the Gambling Times. In 2006, Sexton was recognized as the top poker ambassador at the Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Awards Gala.
But don't let his diplomatic title fool you – Mike's game is downright mean. He owns one WSOP bracelet and has lifetime tournament winnings exceeding $3 million. Accomplishments like that don't come from compromise. Not at the exclusive tables Mike frequents. He also happens to rank 50th on the all-time money list and is in the top-10 for WSOP money finishes, with 37 cashes. Away from the table, however, he reverts to his affable ways. In fact, Mike regularly donates half of his tournament winning to charities. It's no wonder they call him "The Ambassador" – he's an excellent representative of the game.
