With the advent of online poker, a new type of player was born – fast, fearless, and aggressive. This week on Poker After Dark, three members of poker’s new school will take on three members of poker’s old guard in a titanic clash of styles – it’s the nets versus the vets. Representing the Internet players are: Brian “sbrugby” Townsend, a high-stakes online grinder and lead instructor for the poker training site CardRunners.com; Tom “Durrrr” Dwan, a young player who routinely crushes the highest limits of online games; and Andrew “Good2cu” Robl, a high-stakes online pro who’s also made one WSOP final table. These three young guns will take on three members of poker’s old school: Huckleberry Seed, winner of the 1996 WSOP Main Event and owner of four WSOP bracelets; Doyle Brunson, 10-time WSOP bracelet winner and poker legend; and Johnny Chan, the only ever back-to-back WSOP Main Event winner and owner of 10 WSOP bracelets.
