Cultures clash when three Americans, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Erick Lindgren, mix it up with three pros from the land of olive oil, opera, and cannoli - Italians Marco Traniello, Max Pescatori and Dario Minieri. However, Ferguson’s biggest threat might not come from foreign soil. In his last appearance on PAD, he unceremoniously busted Lederer before the third commercial break. Lederer will definitely want some pay back. Lindgren, a former quarterback, will try to rally Team USA but patriotism probably won’t be his motivation. Traniello and Pescatori are close friends but they should keep in mind what a wise Italian once said about keeping friends close. After all, friendship is the last thing you can count on when the cards are in the air. Finally, Minieri might not be the biggest player at the table, but his hyper-aggressive style proves he has the heart of a gladiator. An Italian might have discovered America. But we gave them poker so now it’s even.
