COMING UP ON POKER AFTER DARK

"MAGNIFICENT SIX"

POKER AFTER DARK IS A FLUSH WITH THE FANS

THE LINEUP

Calling these pros “The Magnificent Six” is apt for a couple reasons. Collectively they’ve won over $52 million in tournaments, 39 bracelets, and 4 Main Event titles (Doyle Brunson has notched 2 of them). That partial resume alone makes them the most dangerous/successful group of hombres to ever mosey into Poker After Dark. Of course the name also invokes images of steely-eyed gunslingers of the Old West. It’s easy to see them like that. Chris Ferguson and Phil Hellmuth on opposite ends of Main Street face each other down. They’re both on a hair-trigger. Whoever blinks loses. Or Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey in a card room in Virginia City. Negreanu cracks wise, Ivey levels his stare, and everyone still left in the room holds their breath. Howard Lederer, calm, collected, maybe even a tin star on his chest, draws to a straight while Doyle Bronson tries to steal his blind. Although they’re only armed with a deck of cards, if you value your money, it’s a lethal weapon.
